THE CHURCH

The church was built around 1500.

It belonged to a group of people who cared for the burial of the poor.

The poor were buried in the crypt or in the cemetery.

Today the cemetery has been transformed into Piazza San Sepolcro.

The church has only one room with a ceiling shaped like a barrel and side chapels.

The ceiling above the altar has the shape of a star.

In one chapel it is possible to admire the golden wood altar with the image of the Virgin of Mercy.

A baptismal font from the early Christian era was found in one room.
